The portfolio site for Isabelle Bradbury Architect, a bilingual, rich-media website, where the use of Flash animation is explored in its expressive capacity to evoke architectural impressions. Using text and simple line drawings, the four seasons and the different sensations of living are suggested, in order to begin the thought process of designing the ideal environment.

This site for the Ottawa Regional Society of Architects was totally re-designed and updated as a pro-bono project to promote public interest in architecture, as well as to provide a resource for locating professional services in Ottawa. The user interface was designed to help identify the audience group, using color coding and symbols. On-going content development is planned to make the site attractive to the general public as well as the architectural profession. A database of local architects and supporters is made available through a Directory searchable by specialties.

A major reworking of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada website to improve user interface design and integrate additional content. Target audience was identified as either belonging to the General Public, or the Architectural Profession. The entire site was then mirrored in french.

Collaboration with Ten Volt Consulting provided state of the art database design and functionality.

Temprano Young & Ward Architects Inc.

This brand new site for an established architectural firm in Ottawa shows not only an extensive portfolio of works in PDF format, but also an inventory of media publications on the architectural advocacy by Eliseo Temprano, principle architect.

Hypermedia + Architecture

Master's thesis by Katie Chau, completed in May 2000. Includes a prototype for an interactive multimedia CD-ROM on the Sacred Architecture of Tibet. The introduction is shockwaved for viewing on-line and still-screens of the prototype show how the interface is intrinsic to the content material.

The International Ideas Competition for the RAIC Festival 2000 in Ottawa was a great success. Panels submitted by qualified participants as well as winners' entries are now posted. Also a useful source of information about the urban blocks facing Parliament Hill in Ottawa.

Peruse the gallery of paintings by the late Edwin H.K. Chau. From the early sketches of Hong Kong in the 1950's & 60's to the landscapes of Ontario, influenced by a strong tradition of Chinese brush painting techniques.
